11th International Conference of the Hellenic Geographical Society (ICHGS - 2018)

The 11th International Congress of the Hellenic Geographical Society (ICHGS - 2018) will take place in the historic and beautiful city of Lavrion from April 12 - 15, 2018 and will be hosted by the Lavrion Technological and Cultural Park (LTCP) and the National Technical University of Athens. The conference is, above all, an opportunity for collaboration between geographers from different countries. It is also a call for practitioners, academics, or students of Geography to deepen their knowledge on both the physical properties of Earth’s surface and the human societies spread across it and to share their research and application ideas with respect to the study of places and the relationships between people and their environments through the adoption of quantitative and qualitative methods and techniques as well as new technologies. The papers to be presented can draw on the latest geographical research on a wide range of topics and themes to offer comparative analyses of issues related to global and local economy and the environment, population and natural resources, climate change, water resources, geomorphology, geographical education etc.
